=How to Level Up=

Description

Levelling is an important game mechanic in Castaways. Players can sacrifice items at Altars in the Hub in order to gain experience for the corresponding skills and gain new Abilities.

How to Level Up

Each player starts at level 0 in all 6 skills, and will automatically get to level one in each one while completing the Tutorial Sequence. Once you are level 1 you can level up any skill by going to the corresponding altar. To see info on levelling up, first click the icon in the top right of your UI to open the skills screen. At the top right of your skills screen it provides you the exact amount of XP needed to level up the currently selected skill. This screen also shows

Skills

Levelling up a skill provides a new Ability every 10 levels. These can be found on the Abilities page.

  • Excavation
  • Mining
  • Farming
  • Woodcutting

Altars

Altars serve as a way to get Abilities for skill advancement. Players can offer specific items at each type of altar to gain experience points (XP) towards that skill. There are six altars, each corresponding to a distinct gameplay element.

Building Altar

The Building Altar improves building-related skills. Here are the items it accepts and the amount of XP they give:
