Grass is a block that naturally spawns in a quantity of 12 on islands.
Usage
Grass can be used for planting sugar cane or coconut tree.
Sugar cane only grows on grass, whereas palm trees can also grow on sand (so for optimal utilization, don't plant coconuts on grass).
Crafting
It is currently not possible to craft grass.
With the Homestead update it will become possible to craft grass, by combining Bird Poop and Sand in a Composter.
