With the Homestead update, it will become possible to plant and grow various types of crops (Corn, Pineapple, Coffee, Strawberries, Carrots, Tomatos, Cabbage and Sweet Potatoes).
The seeds come from the poop left by Birds eating from Bird Feeders.
The following table shows the drop rate for the various types of Seeds, depending on which food is placed in the Bird Feeder:
