Description
Resource generators are an extremally important part of the Castaways economy. They create the most important Blocks used for Crafting and Smelting. Generators are included with every NFT Island and free islands do not include them.
Resource Generators
Coal Mines
A coal mine is an upgradable structure that exists on all generation one islands. Coal mines are a generative source of coal which is the most important resource in the game and used for Smelting.

| Level 1 | Included on Generation 1 Islands | Allows island members to mine a finite amount of coal. Once it is empty it needs to be upgraded. |
| Level 2 | 1000 Palm Wood & 2500 Stone | Refills with Coal every day at 4PM PST. Allows anyone to use the Coal Mine and earn the Island Owner Coal passively. |

An Iron mine is a resource generator that only exists on Generation-2 islands. Iron mines are a generative source of Iron Ore.

Volcanos
The volcano is a generator that exists on all generation one islands. Every 24 hours lava spawns at the top of every volcano which can be collected with a bucket to receive a Lava bucket. The volcano cannot be upgraded beyond level 1.
